Taking A Break

Just a short post here. I haven’t been very active on WordPress lately. I’ve been busy with work and also with a new project I’m working on. I still have a lot of interest in this blog and the blogs I follow. It’s just a bit too much at the moment to keep up writing on this blog as well as my new writing adventure.

I started writing a book recently. Although I have written a short book in the past, see here, this is a bit different. This is not autobiographical. This is 100% fiction…so yes, there will be some religion mixed in.  🙂   This book is going to be a novel. I have heard about too many people starting and never finishing novels and I am determined not to join their ranks. I am just over 1/10th of the way to my goal of 100,000+ words. I only add about 1,000 to 3,000 words each time I sit down to write, so this will take me some time. And that’s just the writing part. Then there is editing involved, proof-reading and much more.

I’m excited. I’m nervous…and I have no clue how things will turn out. I just need some time to focus on this one thing right now. So I will be taking a hiatus from this blog for an undetermined amount of time. I hope my followers understand. I will return at some point and I will write even longer posts than most of you care to read. It’s just who I am. Deal with it.   😉

I will keep you all posted about my progress and I will still read some of your posts and I will still comment from time to time. Take care and if I don’t visit in time for the upcoming holidays, let me wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season.
